To foster and advance the causes that are beneficial to the youth and children of our community through a comprehensive, coordinated community effort.
Purpose: The Sumter County Family Connection Collaborative is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families as they meet the challenges of life. We are supported by the Georgia Family Connection Partnership, a Georgia statewide initiative of 159 community collaboratives committed to making measurable improvements for children and families in Georgia.
We were formed to achieve in Sumter County the five results identified as being critical to the well-being of Georgia’s children – Healthy Children, Children Ready for School, Children Succeeding in School, Strong Families and Self-Sufficient Families – through supporting communication among agencies and organizations; by enabling the development and coordination of services to children, youth and families; and by supporting the identification of ongoing and changing needs of children, youth, and their families. We can provide a link to resources within the community and provide information on training opportunities and grants available to individuals, agencies and organizations within our community and region.
